As a Business Development Manager for this specialist healthcare company, you’ll drive the development and implementation of Managed Equipment Solutions (MES) within radiotherapy and radiation oncology departments across the UK & Ireland.

  • Working with NHS and independent radiotherapy and oncology departments to assess their clinical and operational needs, you’ll develop tailored managed equipment proposals that align clinical requirements with financial viability. This is complex, consultative medical sales at its best, engaging clinicians, finance teams, and hospital administrators through a multi-stakeholder process.
  • You will inherit an extremely healthy pipeline of existing opportunities, supported by an in-house transformation team with deep expertise across MES, finance, diagnostic imaging, and built environment. This is not a standing-start role.
  • Once solutions are agreed, you’ll manage implementation timelines and work closely with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure seamless delivery, providing ongoing client support and optimisation throughout.
  • A home-based medical sales role covering the UK & Ireland. The nature of the role means more time working from home on projects than many field-based positions, with customer visits planned around deal progression rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Either a qualified Therapy Radiographer who has moved into industry, or a medtech professional with genuine commercial depth in radiotherapy or radiation oncology. This is complex, senior-level medical sales requiring real commercial instinct, resilience, and the ability to adapt across clinical, financial, and executive stakeholders. Commercially astute, tenacious, and with the skills and instinct to close deals.
  • Previous experience in medical sales, in business development, as an account manager, or similar role with a company in the radiotherapy or oncology medtech space is highly desirable. Self-motivated, organised, confident and persuasive, with strong presentation skills.
  • Suitable locations include (but are not limited to): London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Liverpool, Newcastle, Southampton, and Cambridge.

PACKAGE

  • Salary guide: £50,000 – £60,000 (negotiable for a star), plus 30% OTE, a car allowance, and great benefits.
